Siena’s Snowdon Summit!

Downside Nursery - Siena’s Snowdon Summit!

At Downside Nursery, we love to celebrate achievements; personal and educational (Ofsted OUTSTANDING!!), sporting and musical and we are very proud to have such talented children, parents and staff!

During the summer holidays, Siena and her family (Mum, Dad, younger brother and Grandparents) climbed the 4 hour hike up Snowdon. Despite the very wet weather conditions, they all made it to the top via ‘Pyg path’, described on Snowdon’s website as the ‘shortest route up Snowdon with the least amount of ascent – but far from being the easiest’! It involved lots of scrambling up rocks, which Siena took in her stride. We like to think that our varied programme and focus on Physical development at Downside Nursery helped to prepare Siena for the challenge! Siena was excited to tell us that at the top, the mountain fairies had left them a toffee treat to give them renewed energy for their descent.

Congratulations to you all - what a wonderful achievement.

We would also like to congratulate the alumni children who have received some excellent SATS, GCSE and A-Level results over the summer – we are very proud!

If you have an achievement that you are proud of, please let us know – and photos for our ‘wow’ board!
